From Marrakesh, we will be heading South, through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tichka Pass. Visit of Telouet Kasbah, once home of Pacha El Glaoui, former governor of Marrakesh. We will drive through Ounila Valley, where you will see Berber villages. Lunch at Ait Ben Haddou and visit of its Ksar, UNESCO world heritage. We will then resume driving, this time through the Anti Atlas Mountains and, at Adgz, take a track in the heart of palm groves to reach N'kob. Dinner and overnight at Kasbah Imdoukal or similar.
We will be heading south, onwards to Sahara to visit the rock carvings of Ait Ouazig. The Saharan desert landscapes will unfold before your eyes: sand dunes and acacia savannah which are home to Nomad people and their herds of camels and goats. Stop in Tamgrout. Visit of the qoranic library dating from the 17th century. Visit of the underground city and of the potters’ workshops, some of them among the oldest in Morocco. At the end of the afternoon, installation at the bivouac and camel ride to see the sun setting over the sand dunes. Dinner and night with the Nomads or dinner and overnight in Ferme Hanane.
Departure to Amezrou and Ouarzazate through the magnificent Draa Valley. Visit of Tamnougalt Kasbah. Lunch in Ouarzazate and visit of Taourirt Kasbah, before setting back to Marrakesh by road.
